Upcycled and Repurposed Pendant

Repurposed and Upcycled Sea Glass Pendant

I consider this unique and distinctive piece of jewelry a  repurposed and upcycled sea glass pendant. The genuine sea glass hand picked off the beach  is upcycled because I painted it and then wire wrapped it. It is repurposed because I used old electrical wiring in the wire wrap part of it.

One more tidbit of information about  these hand painted and wire wrapped sea glass raindrops is that they are hand made in Forks, Washington, the rainiest city in the continental USA.

Beach-n-Bling at the Joyce Daze Blackberry Festival

Beach-n-Bling at the Joyce Daze Blackberry Festival

The Joyce Daze Blackberry Festival was held  on Saturday August 2. The weather was sunny and folks said it was the hottest ever. Many people came to have a piece of wild blackberry pie, enjoy the live music, watch the parade and check out what the vendors had to offer.

One of Beach-n-Bling's tables with sea glass jewelry, rock art and paintings on display.

The other one of Beach-n-Bling's tables with sea glass jewelry and paintings on display.

There was a variety live entertainment ranging from country music to belly dancing.

Barbershop quartet  (NBR as in No Batteries Required)  singing those oldies but goodies on the stage.

Labyrinth Mosaic Made Out of Sea Glass, Shell and other Media

Sea Glass and Wampum Labyrinth Mosaic

I finally completed this sea glass labyrinth mosaic art project that I started last fall. It is quite large (28 x 20 inches) compared to my usual art work these past years. I also was undecided if I should post this on my painting Blog or this one.

Completed sea glass labyrinth mosaic is 28 x 20 inches

It took a long time to decide whether I should add something that led the eye into the labyrinth.
