Couple of Different Things...

Here are a couple of different things I've made using sea glass. The pendant is available on Etsy.

This is a copper wire wrapped beach stone pendant. It has a small piece of green sea glass for an accent.

The back side

An assemblage made from a clock frame, cookie tin cover and sea glass. It is 12 inches  (approx. 30cm) across.

Hand Painted Sea Glass, Mosaic Candle Holders and Jewelry

I've been more busy with trying out new ideas than with posting blogs. Some of my newest creations
include sea glass mosaic on flat sided square vessels, hand painting sea glass purple, and making jewelry and mosaic with the colored sea glass. Its been fun and time consuming. I'm not so convinced that mosaic is my favorite thing to do with sea glass. It takes a lot more of my patience. I prefer wire wrapping. Mosaic is a fine thing to do with all that sea glass that doesn't work so great for jewelry.  I decided to start painting it because my daughter wanted something in purple which is a very rare find in sea glass.  It makes for some pretty dramatic sea glass.

Now its getting interesting with hand painted sea glass.

I hand painted  the back of each piece of sea glass in variations of purple.

Once the pieces were glued on I painted them with clear glitzy enamel.

This is my second larger sea glass mosaic. It is also a candle holder.

It takes a lot of time and analysis to get it all together like this.

Hand painted sea glass in a pendant. This is for a drama queen.

This is smaller. I used sterling silver and silver plated wire for this one.

I think it looks intergalactic.

Here you can see how the light shines through it.

I would love to receive some feedback on what you think about purple painted sea glass.
