Trying Something New

Last night I tried something different and new for me. I wrapped a piece of "rare and precious" cobalt blue sea glass in some copper wire for a change. I think it looks pretty good. I like the blue / orange contrast.

Beach-n-Bling at the Joyce Daze Blackberry Festival

The Joyce Daze Blackberry Festival was held  on Saturday August 2. The weather was sunny and folks said it was the hottest ever. Many people came to have a piece of wild blackberry pie, enjoy the live music, watch the parade and check out what the vendors had to offer.

There was a variety live entertainment ranging from country music to belly dancing.

Barbershop quartet  (NBR as in No Batteries Required)  singing those oldies but goodies on the stage.

Labyrinth Mosaic Made Out of Sea Glass, Shell and other Media

I finally completed this sea glass labyrinth mosaic art project that I started last fall. It is quite large (28 x 20 inches) compared to my usual art work these past years. I also was undecided if I should post this on my painting Blog or this one.
