Today I am presenting here three beautiful and unique pale blue sea glass necklaces that are now available for purchase on my Etsy shop. Each upcycled piece of beach glass is wrapped in a different type of wire.  The drop shaped pendants are handcrafted and original pieces of wearable art just waiting to be yours. No two are alike. The sea glass is hand picked off a Pacific ocean or Strait of Juan De Fuca beach in Washington State.

Wire Wrapped Sea Glass Butterfly Project

I've been wanting to wire wrap a more complex piece of jewelry with multiple pieces of sea glass.

After much thought and designing, I worked out a butterfly concept. The image I worked from was a moth, but I think butterfly sounds better. A large moth was resting its wings on a window. It was a bizarre image because I was able to manipulate the perspective to make you think it was a giant moth. It was a great way to study its anatomy.
It took quite a bit of digging through my white sea glass to find the most suitable pieces for this project.
I spent three long sessions of wire wrapping to complete this project. A session is usually 2-3 hours for me.

I used a small piece of driftwood for the body.

This wire wrapped sea glass butterfly is a brooch.

I just finished this beautiful one of a kind wire wrapped blue sea glass necklace. It is skillfully wrapped in copper. It is created out of genuine beach glass hand picked off the beach. The the pale blue and pearl beads that are worked into it are repurposed from a vintage necklace. The color play of blue and copper on this unique piece of jewelry is very pleasing to the eye. The necklace is 21 inches long and everything is hand made on this artistically designed original.
