Displaying My Wire Wrapped Sea Glass Jewelry
Displaying My Wire Wrapped Sea Glass Jewelry
Currently Beach-n-Bling is between two events that are taking place on the Washington Coast. The Beachcombers' Fun Fair was on March 1st-2nd. Sales were appreciative during that event. The next event will be the Driftwood Fair and Glass Float Round-Up in Grayland, WA on April 5-6.
The past few weeks have been consumed in part with figuring out how to display my wire wrapped sea glass jewelry in the most effective way at this year's events. I have to keep several factors in mind such as portability, quick set up, eye appeal and of course within a very limited budget.
The images below shows the display I had set up at the Beachcomber's Fun Fair.

Driftwood Show and Glass Ball Round-Up in Grayland, WA
Last weekend I went to Grayland's 51st annual Driftwood Show and Glass Ball Round-Up. Talk about a fun time. It is held in the Grayland community hall.Beachcombers bring their driftwood to show off and some win prizes.
You can also take part in a glass ball round-up. Wooden tokens are strewn along the beach in Grayland. Each token represents a glass ball made by Patrick Kolten of Artglass/Verre de mer. When you find a token on the beach you bring it in to the driftwood show along with the "license" you purchased earlier that morning and "passport" filled with stamps from the local businesses you visited. You then get your blown glass float along with a Certificate of Authenticity.
