In addition to making new jewelry I've been working on making jewelry display boards for quicker and easier display, transport and storage. Most of the jewelry you see on these boards are for sale on my Etsy shop. 

The pendants on the bottom row are wire wrapped stones except for the one on the far right that is seaglass with an owl painted on it.

Most of these have images hand painted or hand drawn on them

Except for one small thing wrapped in copper every piece here is wrapped in sterling silver or Argentium

Here are some new blue seaglass earrings for sale on Etsy. They are made with genuine sea glass hand picked off the beach.  

These are wrapped in that new gunmetal wire I mentioned in the last posting.

New Looks with New Wire

I recently purchased a different color of wire for wrapping sea glass. Its called gunmetal and its a dark gray color.
Today I'll present some pendants and earrings wrapped in gunmetal wire.
Some of the pendants have an owl or a ladybug hand drawn on them. This is also a new idea that I have.

I guess its been a while since I've posted on here.
October 1 we went on a trip down the Oregon Coast and we had beautiful weather. See  http://sleepingbeautystravels.blogspot.com/ to find out more about it. If it isn't showing there yet, come back again later.
Since we've been back I have a lot of catching up on organization.
I still find time to make jewelry, but not so easy to find time to write on the computer.
Here are a couple of pendants I made recently.
I also wrapped a beach stone in a different  more experimental manner.

Golden Autumn Elegance

This may not be a picture of wire wrapped sea glass jewelry for starters today,  but I want to share with you what I see when I go on my walks down to the river. It is on these walks that I get exercise, and refresh my brain. For me, doing things like going on walks in nature is where new ideas are captured from the ever giving universe.

All I am discovering now is that a little bit of change can go a long way.It is interesting to observe how it sometimes takes a long plateau time of doing the same thing and then at some point, from some where a spark of a new idea put into action starts a whole new movement of activity.

I've been making a new type of jewelry out of pieces of sea glass that just weren't moving.  They were fine, but something was lacking. Just don't ask me what. That is beyond my simple mind.

In this case, its putting together pieces in different ways. I am doing it with my jewelry parts and I'm attempting to apply my internet knowledge and skills to this idea. It isn't something that is done in one day. No way. It is a long path of experimenting, learning and implementation.

Recent Haul and Newly Created Jewelry

Here is a photo of a recent haul of sea glass we found on a Strait of Juan de Fuca Beach.  I wasn't expecting to find this much, because a lot of sand has washed in over the gravel this summer. It is going to take some serious stormy weather to make the sand go away.

I already have a good idea of what I'm going to do with that nice big cobalt blue piece of sea glass.
